South Coast Jazz Festival legendary ladies of British jazz
I found myself shooting the soundcheck of three legendary ladies of British Jazz – Nikki Iles, Norma Winstone and Claire Martin at the South Coast Jazz Festival (a fabulous event curated by acclaimed Jazz singer Claire Martin OBE and saxophonist Julian Nicholas). Followed by a wonderful evening concert, the highlight for me being ‘Tideway’ written by Norma Winstone and Nikki Isles at Norma’s house on the South Coast.
